I will give you a short report on our '63 Team reunion we just had on Fri Feb7th 2003.

The team, cheerleaders and others met at a Sisseton game.  We were introduced at half time.   We then had a get together at the legion and told old stories.  The players present were Myron Moen, Robert Hull, Tony Barker, Tom Hruby, Myron Williams and myself.  Cheerleaders present were Julie (Bue) George, Mary Jane (Rice) Hellwig,  Diane (Graverson) Spencer and Dixie (Foster) Heinecke.  Manager, Jim Anderson was at the legion event.  Steve Bergerson was present as the team mascot.  Coach George Kjellson was also present.  During the evening other classmates were there to celebrate with us. They included Lois (Dempsey) Bergerson, Linda (Johnston) Kriz, Curtis Dahl, Myron Johnson. and Ernie Hutchins. Many others younger and older attended the event.  We presented a poem from the team and cheerleaders which was printed in the Courier this week (with some missing).  The Courier carried a picture taken at halftime and the old team picture.  I  will attach a copy of the poem.  We had  a good time reading old scrapbooks and telling old stories that are now half fact and half fiction.  We had a reunion after 15 years at the state tourney and after 25 years in Sisseton.  This one was much more inclusive and involved the community.  After 40 years the memories have more meaning. Those deceased include player Doug Brewster, manager Wayne Lotz and coach Jack Theeler.  We will stay connected now and try to get together again before too many years pass. I am sending this to the names on you last class e-mail and I am adding copies to those who commuicated back by e-mail.  Maybe you can post this report and the poem on the class web page or where ever it belongs.  Everyone in the class is part of the memories.  Many of those present  talked about the reunion this summer.  Sounds like there will be a good turn out.  Thanks again David and Carol for all you are doing to keep us connected.
